A great Deal

Great buy!
I bought this computer a week ago. I'm what you might call--technology challenged. It's a replacement for a PC desktop. I wondered when I got it if I should hire a computer whiz to set it up for me. I was pleasantly surprised that I didn't need one. The transition from Windows XP Home Edition to Vista was seamless. No problem at least to date. Transferring files and folders was a breeze with a USB flash drive. The only slight hitch I encountered was my old computer was updated with Internet Explorer 8, but this one came with Internet Explorer 7 installed. So two of the files couldn't be transferred until the Acer was upgraded to IE 8. No big deal. The screen is beautiful and the built-in speakers have very good audio quality. I'm very happy with this computer. Amazon is an excellent company to buy from. In many years of buying from this company, I've only had one time when I had to send something back. That was from a third party vendor, and Amazon checked with me to make sure I was satisfied with the outcome.

Unbelievable for the price...
I've had this laptop just over a week.

After the transfer of all my data, setting up my apps, antivirus, and further tweaking, I can honestly say I love this new lappy.

It does have it's shortcomings, no blu-ray, no dedicated video ram (Intel shared memory on-board video), no 1080p (but for this size screen 720p is fine).

Of course the trade-off for lacking these goodies is the price, $633...WOW. Purchased a nice padded sleeve for it and killer skin (RidicsSkinz.com/forum), which covers the high gloss black (shows every fingerprint).

Purchased this on a Thursday and had it the following Tuesday with free shipping, no tax...thank you Amazon!
