Editorial Reviews

Amazon.com Product Description
Communicate with other two-way radios safely and effectively even when your hands are full with this Motorola earpiece. Compatible with Motorola's CLS, XTN, VLB, and AUX series radios, the earpiece features a push-to-talk (PTT) button, which, when depressed, lets you speak clearly through the radio without removing it from your holster. The process is known as hands-free voice activation (VOX), and it makes any busy employee's job easier. Added bonuses derive from the simple-to-use microphone, which clips conveniently to your lapel, and the over-the-ear receiver, which is non-invasive and hygienic. The earpiece is a must for restaurant servers, bellmen, maintenance workers, and anyone else who's too physically occupied to grab a radio when things get hectic.

Customer Reviews

It works great.4
We use these in a restaurant to facilitate communication among the staff. So far they have been a valuable asset.

So far so good - uncomfortable for some people after extended wear4
We purchased several of these for use at our veterinary hospital and kennel. So far we have been pleased with the headsets. They definitely make the radios easier to use in noisy environments. Some of our staff members have found them uncomfortable after extended wear - this has not been an issue for me personally. We have only been using them for a couple months, so it's to early to comment on their durability.

OK - but that's it2
We use these in a very busy restaurant. For us these typically last about 2 years before the button stops working on them. There is a new type that I like better that doesn't go all the way around your ear. The new ones feel better as they hook just from the top of the ear. Had 2 of another type also, the one with the bud in the ear and the buttons also pooped out on those - one after 4 years, the other after 2 years.

All in all they're OK but consider them "disposable." The multi-charger I rated as a one star but the walkies themselves are AWESOME. We have some that are 5 years old and still have the same batteries and work fine.
