With support for the EV-DO high-speed data standard, you'll enjoy fast access to the Internet and Verizon Wireless multimedia services (additional charges applicable), with average download speeds ranging from 400 to 700 Kbps and peak rates up to 2 Mbps. The V Cast Music service enables you to download songs instantly to your phone, or purchase music through your PC and transfer the files to your phone. If purchased from your phone, you'll receive two copies of the song: a Windows Media Audio Pro Plus format at 64Kbps stereo is sent to your phone, and a Windows Media Audio 9 format at 160Kbps stereo is sent to your account in the V CAST Music online store for downloading to your PC. V Cast Music offers nearly 2 million songs, with more being added all the time.
In addition to the V Cast Music service, this phone is also compatible with the Verizon Wireless V CAST Music with Rhapsody, which enables you to access this exclusive digital music service for RealNetworks and for MTV Networks. The Nokia 7205 Intrigue's unique external display blends into its smooth black exterior. When an incoming call or text is received, the display instantly illuminates, and you can also view incoming text messages, play music from the phone's digital audio player, and snooze the alarm clock--all from the external display.
The large, bright internal 2.2-inch display has a 240 x 320-pixel resolution and support for 262K colors. It also includes a nature-inspired design setting called Habitat mode, exclusively designed by Nokia and only available with Verizon Wireless service. When the Habitat mode is activated, contacts are presented in chronological order, providing an engaging and intuitive way for customers to track, visualize and connect with their contacts. You can also customize each contact with a photo or icon.

Handsfree communication is easy thanks to the integrated speakerphone (with dedicated key). This phone also provides Bluetooth wireless connectivity (version 2.0), and includes profiles for communication headset, handsfree car kits, and file transfer. With the A2DP Bluetooth profile, you can stream your music to a pair of compatible Bluetooth stereo headphones. You can connect your laptop (either via Bluetooth or wired USB) and enjoy dial-up networking--surf the Internet, send email, and access files from a server (additional charges or subscription applicable).
The 2-megapixel camera offers five resolution options (1600 x 1200, 1280 x 960, 640 x 480, 320 x 240, and 160 x 120 pixels) and features an integrated flash and 4x digital zoom. Other features include a dedicated camera/video key, portrait/landscape capture mode, self timer, and white balance settings (auto, sunny, cloudy, tungsten, fluorescent, and darkness). Additionally, the camera can capture video clips with audio.
The digital audio player offers compatibility for MP3, WMA and unprotected AAC/AAC+ formats, and the phone includes external touch-senstive music controls on the top of the clamshell face. Looks cool - hard to use and bad sound
Maybe this phone is OK for a throw-away for a 5 year old.
The sound on this phone, both on the handset and speakerphone, is absolutely horrible!! Also the menu system is not easy to use - to navigate to another screen within the same category requires you to back out all the way to the main screen, then hit menu again and choose your next menu item.
horrible phone
this is the worst phone I have owned. I have had to replace it 4 different times in less than a year. The charging port is constantly breaking and I have never had a problem like this with any previous phones I have had. It has to be charged nightly even with the extended battery. DON'T get this phone
Could be a good phone but once again sound issues
First I had the LG8300 no complaints, and the rest of the phones I reutrned. Which amounted to the LG choloclate3, LG8360 Motorola W755. Then I found Digital voice in the Samsung Renown which had lousy audio quality. Then Today I picked up the Intrigue.
I actually tested this phone out for about an hour before I committed to it. It sounded much better than the Samsung but not quite os good as the LG 8300 on hand however I was willing to give it a try because I really want visual voice mail. I was excited I actaully found a phone with some features that had nice voice quality and features.
My dreams were broken. When I called someone while traviling about 15 miles on the phone. His voice was either too loud (and my volume was at it's lowest) or it was low the way I wanted it. I returned it to the store and the tech was able to reproduce the problem. I got another phone from another store and tested it out of the phone in the store for about an hour and it was strange inside the store the other party was lower (not touching the volume button) and when I went outside the other party was too loud for me to keep my ear to the phone.
I have a feeling even though it's not memtioned that Nokia trys to adjusst the phone volume acording the the backgroud noise but does a lousy job of that. ( this is not a fact but just a thought) Well it's back to my LG VX 8300
WHY WHY WHY CAN'T THEY JUST MAKE A PHONE THAT HAS THE FEATURES AND HAS GOOD SOUND QUALIITY AND LET ME ADJUST THE VOLUME THE OLD AND IS THAT IS A FLIP PHONE i DON'T NEED A PHONE THAT PLAYS MUSIC THATS WHAT i HAVE A STEREO FOR. BUT WHATEVER
