Gary's Review --Sony VGN-FW250J
Excellent keyboard, will to the best of my knowledge handle 32 bit Vista as well as the 64 bit Vista it comes loaded with. For my purposes it is a great computer and worth what I payed for it.
Sony Product All The Way....
Pros:
Battery Life - EXCELLENT
Size - Large, but that is what I wanted
Screen - Crystal Clear
More features than one could possibly use
Looks Great
Cons:
Biggest con of all, it has Vista installed and you cannot upgrade to WinXP Pro - Yes, I said that correctly. UPGRADE. Let's face it, Vista is garbage.
Thought this one had Blu-ray player already installed, DOES NOT
Doesn't get full HD resolution settings when hooked up to HDTV. Sony tells you that capable of 1080, yet highest resolution is 720. Sony is known for marketing gimmicks, I have been dealing with them for years to find this out.
Overall, great laptop and had 0 problems other than software issues related to Vista. Highly recommend this laptop to anyone wanting to purchase one. Just don't buy into the resolution settings that Sony says you can get, only capable of 720 and no where up to 1080 - not even close.
Good Laptop
I bought this one from CircuitCity for $860 in Dec 2008. So far I like it very much, the keyboard, the screen, the speed etc.
I would like to get WIndows 7 installed.
I recommend this for anyone looking for a entertainment laptop.
This is a little bit heavy
